Logs, Fishes, and those other forms of wave sliding

Surfing has become pretty individualistic. By that, I mean the shortboarders stick together, the loggers nose ride with one another, bodyboarders stay clear of the surfers, etc. Why cant we all learn to love? It's a simple concept, with a tough follow through. We all want to have a good time, catch at least one fun wave each session, and feel good about ourselves. By learning to surf WITH one another, rather than against each other, everyone stays happy. Granted this probably wont ever happen, that doesnt mean that we cant try! Loggers just need to let shortboarders catch some of the set waves, shortboarders would need to calm down a little and not scream at loggers, and bodyboarders would need to not drop in on everyone. If we work together, the whole community benefits. We all have one similarity: wave sliding. the difference is how we do it, but the concept is still the same. As long as we remember the spirit of Aloha, all will work itself out.
