EricaxPointConceptSurfboards
Ms. Erica "Purebread" Burtrum testing her Point Concept egg at a Newport sand bar during Spring Break...
Remember The Future
Some photos from the Hydrodynamica Loft Gallery show last night...
Got to talk to some pretty cool people: Daniel Thomson of Tomo Surfboards about his supah fast modern planing hulls and Carl Ekstrom and how his Acesymmetric boards work, especially in the reefy waves of San Diego.

Tasha, Elena, and Erica
I woke up to a phone call from my sister, Natasha saying she was out in front of my dorm to pick me up to surf The Cliffs with Elena...
After that we picked up Erica from studying, we went to a small local breakfast cafe, The Point where we enjoyed some delicious bagel sandwiches... yummmm.
Anyways, studying all day till the Hydrodynamica event tonight; stoked!
My life is pretty darn wonderful.

Trevor[BoardRack]
Trevor putting away his SheHull after some pro Bondo ding repair...
Trevor and his Dad made these racks last summer. Greg and I played sword fighting while he and his Dad put them together...
Boards from left to right: 9'6" Tanner "Al Knost Model", 6'9" Point Concept Dreadnought, 7'2" South Shore Stinger, 6'2" PC Gull, and 7'2" PC SheHull, and an assortment of bodyboards, fins, a skimboard, and a broken shortboard
Salty Wooden Things
I found this blog through The Magic Bus and boy was I impressed...
I don't know too much about who runs it or where exactly they are from, but they sure have plenty of handplane/alaia eye candy, check out their site at: Salty Wooden Things

Art Is What We Call...
the thing an artist does.
It's not the medium or the oil or the price or whether it hangs on a wall or you eat it.
What matters, what makes art, is that the person who made it overcame the resistance, ignored the voice of doubt and made something worth making. Something risky. Something human.
Art is not in the eye of the beholder.
It's in the soul of the artists.

Testing Grounds
Gregory and I field testing at a beachy sort of break right along Pacific Coast Highway
Pretty unbelievable how far Point Concept and Almond have come since we started riding their boards.
Both have progressed substantially in two very different styles of surfing, and all of us who ride Ryan and Daves boards couldn't be happier.

Dolphin Surfing
I typically stay away from throwback posts... I like to keep things current,
But going through my old photos, I found a few from when a couple of us went Dolphin Surfing one freezing winter afternoon...

TRev Test v.2
Putting Ericas TRev through the motions at a local Newport beachbreak several days ago...
Sunset Thursdays
Yesterday, Erica and I had the pleasure of Trevor, Christina, and Greg coming down and visiting us for the day at school!
We surfed a little, ate some mexican food, surfed some more, then in the evening, we indulged in our guilty pleasure: The Jersey Shore.
It was a perfectly wonderful little day, just enough to get us through Fridays workload.
Cannot wait to do it again!
